Reaching #2 on the Billboard top 100 and #1 for the R&B Singles Charts! As a debut of "Thriller", many were a bit disenfranchised and afraid the album wasn't heading in the right direction. Boy were those fears squashed by the arrival of single #2-Billie Jean. Furthermore, a few were even suggesting Michael was trying to be white(which is absolutely ridiculous).
